Zoom Buttons Not Glove Friendly

Even with my 7" tablet in landscape mode the zoom and follow buttons are too small and close together for me to operate reliably while wearing gloves. Single and double tapping doesn’t work for me either because that causes the app to stop following my motorcycle.

Can there be an option for larger buttons and/or spaced further apart?

Note that there are 5 ways to zoom in and out the map without buttons, with gestures and even the volume keys which should be more glove friendly.

On my tablet the volume keys operate bluetooth volume which I have to adjust to hear the turn prompts from Kurviger on my Sena headset while riding the bike.
