Route(Roundtrip)

Hi there! I downloaded a GPX file with a route(roundtrip), so from start to end. What will the behaviour be if I deviate for some reason from the route and it recalculates the route(roundtrip). Will it bring me back to the original route, the closest by waypoint, or will my route be destroyed, after the recalculation? Or is it better to turn of the recalculation and try myself to get on the original route again to avoind that it brings me directly the end? Thanks for the comments!

From my point of view, always switch of the automatic recalculating. If you leave the Route, you will find back by using your mind

Thank you, I honestly wish switching off the automatic recalculating wasnt needed and automatic recalculation would bring me back to the nearest shaping point, that would really be a fantastic feature actually

Automatic recalculation does indeed bring you back to the nearest shaping point
But, depending on route geometry, it could lead to skipping of parts of your route.
To avoid that, you should place at least one via point on the far end of the route.

Thank you, if you download a roundtrip there are two hard points so to say, the beginning and the end, in between are 10, 20, 50 or more shaping points, so where would you consider placing a via point not knowing if you will deviate from the route itself? What does the far end mean?

He means that a far away point of a round trip should be marked as waypoint, as waypoints are not automatically skipped.

For example change point 1 or 2 to a waypoint.

Kurviger supports you. Check the red point and press.
