When rerouting happens - automatic or forced (tap warning) - and GPS or internet have problems, there is optical / spoken warning and rerouting is tried later.

In the past my mobil was simply quite. First it said, that kurviger is rerouting but there was no warning when rerouting failed.
Was implemented in last versions, the checks are performed before any rerouting attempt, if all variables are not ok then the rerouting is postponed for later.
