Transfer of avoid options

Ah ok, thank you.
I’ve tested it with a unpaved tour: (Enzianhütte, Zirog, Brennerbad):

This looks woderful. I was never aware that there is a brown line for unpaved road.

Unfortunately it’s still not visible in the App. I’ve transferred this testroute to the App Pro and there it’s not marked.
Do you know if this change is also coming?
The reason is that on tour, using the App it should be visible concerning the offraod part, distance etc.

Another problem:
After importing exactly this route to App Pro-Version ALL options are marked, even “not using small roads”, “not using unpaved roads” “no main roads” - completely alle possibilities!?

Last sunday I had the same, but thought that I’ve changed my options in the App. (Importing QR-code from web tourer to App Pro). Actually it was the same. Options like mentioned in the picture, marked everything in the App.
Transferring the route from App Pro to a second mobile (App Pro) did not show this failure. What’s that?

Thanks in advance
BR juschka

Strength of avoidances will come in the app in the future:

When you transfer routes in the app and want to keep the website subscription options,
you should use the (offline) *.kurviger file format (to avoid route recalculation).

When making reports, please attach the kurviger files, so that everyone can verify the reports.

I’ ve used the kurviger format, but the in the web included information about unpaved roads ( brown line, additional text) is not yet existent in the App Pro?
Br juschka

Juschka, please attach your file or the URL.

You want help, then please provide, what you are asked for.

Nobody asked for something like that.
There is no guarantee that it will look / work like the website.

The colors in the app are used for the multiple route profiles.

URL (Kurviger) and file (Innsbruck - Brenner.kurviger (6.9 KB) ) are easy to create from the screenshot.
Whereby the last kilometers shown there remain identical with every setting - there is only this one way!
And of course URL / File differ in kurvigerPRO:

Only when using the .kurviger file (the left screenshot), the route in the app corresponds exactly to the route in the WEB, because

Sorry guys, but we’re discussion different things - and again - as others mentioned before - it’s not the easiest one to explain something in english.

  1. the route with unpaved road:

@ I know Walter - I’m here in the forum since several years. The file is not relevant.
The screenshot is only an example, it’s not relevant if we’re discussing of the the Brennerbad - Enzianhütte or other trips.

The question was if this information we get on the web-version will be visible in future in the App. Everywhere and every anpaved (legal) road, nevertheless of the country.
If it is not marked as a brown line then any other colour or pointed or whatever - to identifiy this change of street quality?

  1. I have used the kurviger file for export from web to App - and @devemux86 the information of the web-route is not identically imported in the App-version as shown in the screenshot. So it’s to easy to shorten your answer - I’m using kurviger since first trial version I know how to use the kurviger-file-format.
In the APP all options are changed while importing and everything is marked, even if I don’t have it marked in the web-version and while export / share files… You’ll see it in the screenshots.

Patrick above has mentioned principally the same. That was the reason I continued this existent discussioon. To get the information also in the App.
And for sure I thinks that’s normal, that a development on the website with new features should be available in a similar way. If I’m planning specially things on the website (with great support features for this), then it’s normal that you also would like to drive it in reality with the APP?
And what’s the procedure if you have to plan while driving the trip with the mobile + App - unfortunately it’s actually not possible to identify the classification of the road.
For sure it’s normal that the development is not in parallel between App und Website. Sometimes the App is earlier with new things, sometimes the website - but I think your comment that nobody is expecting (between a defned time slot) this is not correct.

BR juschka

Different platforms - different development - different implementations…

There are no defined time slots and estimate times of arrival for features.
You ask for something and wait patiently for a (possible) implementation.

No, screenshots alone are never enough in the reports.

For website subscription reports you must also attach the kurviger files.
(not everyone has a subscription to the website, so the urls do not work)

Regarding your above route url:

  • It displays “Your route contains exclusive Kurviger Tourer features”.
So cannot examine it, as not everyone has a website subscription.

  • But it has all avoid options selected, so app will have all of them too.

Short links / QR codes recalculate routes (with app supported features).
Kurviger files are better as they always transfer offline the original route.

@boldtrn

Opening your route url, the website shows ALL avoid options selected.

  • additional_weighting=avoid_edges
  • avoid_toll_roads=true
  • avoid_ferries=true
  • avoid_motorways=true
  • avoid_main_roads=true
  • avoid_small_roads=true
  • avoid_unpaved_roads=true

Why do you expect the app to display them differently?

The discussion about the transfer of the avoid options was moved to its own topic.

The discussion is not even about the website subscription.

The report states that the avoid options may change when the website exports a route,
that is then inserted into the application.

But this cannot be verified: the reported route urls have selected ALL avoid options!
