habe leider das gleiche Problem. Alles geht, außer die Standortanzeige. Habe zum testen auch mal die Free Version installiert, mit dem gleich Ergebnis. Da ich gerade auf Tour bin, möchte ich keine Neuinstallation riskieren. Ein Neustart vom S4 hat auch nichts gebracht. Was mir noch aufgefallen ist, so bald die APP im Hintergrund läuft,geht das GPS-Signal weg. Bei einer anderen APP bleibt es da Bei der Installation auf einem Huawei Y6 funktioniert es mit der Free-Version. Am 31.08.2019 hatte ich die Pro-Version zum letzten mal benutzt, dabei konnte ich keine Fehler feststellen. Kann das mit den letzten Update zusammenhängen? S4 MIN arbeitet mit Android 4.4. Habt ihr vielleicht Ideen, was ich machen kann? Bitte in deutsch Antworten, kann kein Englisch.
Als Hilfestellung nutze ich zur Zeit die GPS-Aufzeichnung. Die Filtereinstellungen habe ich alle nach unten geregelt.
Der Meinung von mani schließ ich mich nicht an.
Macht immer wieder Spaß mit euerer APP unterwegs zu sein. Habe auch ein paar Verbesserunganregungen, wo kann ich diese unterbreiten?

Please create new topics, the old ones refer to older app versions and things change continuously.
And can describe in detail what does not seem to work as expected.
Also copy here the “Settings | About | Info” for all tested devices.
Cannot see location marker on map when have GPS enabled, did it work before?
Or lose its signal when app is in background?
If GPS signal is lost when app is in background, better check the documentation for tips.

Hier geht es nicht. Bin ich bei der APP in dem Einstellungsmenü, bleibt das GPS-Signal im Hintergrund erhalten. Gehe ich wieder aus dem Menü raus, schaltet sich das GPS-Signal wieder ab , wenn die APP im Hintergrund läuft.

ich habe nicht vor, deine APP zu “killen” Kann ich diese APP auf eine frühere Version zurücksetzen? So liese sich ein Update-Problem besser finden.

Sorry, cannot understand clearly what you mean here.
So suppose that the quoted English description fits in your case: when view the map the location marker is not visible, though if tap location button (bottom-right) the map moves at user location (means GPS works in app).
Google Play does not provide such features to its users.
I don’t see anything strange in Google Play messages, so cannot know why it does not work on that device with the old Android version.
If I find something, I could ask you for some private testing.
Or I could think for a fallback to a basic location marker for old devices that cannot handle modern rendering.
Gemeint bist dabei nicht du sondern die diversen Smartphone Hersteller. Viele Hersteller beenden Apps im Hintergrund. Wir haben in unserer Doku eine Beschreibung welche Einstellungen man versuchen kann um das unerwünschte Beenden zu unterbinden. Das sollte aber bei Android 4.4 noch nicht vorkommen.
Was ich mir spontan vorstellen könnte ist, dass du eventuell die Stromsparfunktion in deinem Handy aktiv hast, eventuell sorgt die für Probleme?

Schön das du hier in Deutsch antwortest. Ich denke dadurch gibt es viele Mißverstände.
Bei dem alten Android kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass sich da was geändert hat.
Stromsparfunktion ist aus.
Das nicht Abschalten vom GPS-Signal habe ich Heute durch eine andere App (bietet dies als Menüfunktion an) verhindert. Hatte aber keine Veränderung gebracht.
Zwecks der Neuerungen habe ich halt das Problem meiner fehlemden Englischkenntnisse.
Jetzt habe ich verstanden. Das Problem ist die fehlende Standortanzeige.
Werde schauen ob ich mein Smartphone auf eine frühere Version zurücksetzen kann. Ab wann kahm den die Version 1.10. raus? Am 31.08. war noch alles i.O.

bin jetzt endlich wieder am Rechner. Da lässt es sich einfacher schreiben 
Habe einmal versucht die App durch ein Update vom S4 mini auf ein früheres Datum zurückzusetzen. Leider ohne Erfolg.
Das können wir gerne Versuchen.
Die Standortanzeige funktioniert bei LocusMap (auch die Pro-Version 3.35.1) einwandfrei. Als Karten verwende ich die Wanderreitkarten. Vielleicht hilft das.

Let’s test with Android defaults apps, like Google Maps, which we all have installed and are supposed to work with official ways.
To clarify:
- Start Kurviger, scroll map away from your area and tap the location button (bottom-right).
Does the map center again on your location?
Above MUST work always or else GPS sensor does not work.
- Then you mentioned that cannot see the location marker?
Which exactly, the arrow when navigation is enabled or the dot outside navigation?
Can you change the location provider in “Settings | Map | Location service” and restart app?

Ja, die Karte wird zentriert.
Diese 2 Markierungen fehlen.
Habe den Sandortdienst von Android auf Google gewechselt und die APP neu gestartet. 
Dann habe ich das wieder zurückgestellt.
Danach habe auch den Cache gelerrt und die APP im System gestoppt.
Alle Versuche blieben ohne Erfolg
Oder bedeutet “restart” das Smartphone neustarten?

Only the app needs restart for the settings that have that flag.
So something else happens in your device and needs investigation…
Wenn es so ist, dann hat sich bei mir nichts geändert. Habe gerade mal die App cruiser ausprobiert. Mit dem gleichen Resultat wie beim Kurviger. Die Standortanzeige wir nicht angezeigt.
Welche Möglichkeiten habe ich noch, oder wie kann ich dir helfen?

Location marker issue was identified again on poor OpenGL driver support.

I’ll see for a new (optional) location rendering to solve cases in old devices,
being available to everyone.
Kurviger 1.11 (Beta) has new location appearance options in “Settings | Location”.
@Basti can you test on your device that had issues, if work correctly?
Can you post some screenshots for both location appearance options?

Natürlich, wird gemacht. Habe gerade 1.11. Update installiert. War aber das normale Update (kein Beta) Oder? Die Standortanzeige ist wieder da 
Prima. Ob es andere Probleme gibt weiß ich noch nicht. Test läuft
