i have a simple feature request. I know you can manually create POI. I have created two POI so far, which are adresses of friends or even my home address.
It would be awesome if it was possible to search for them. Like, you click into the line for your starting point and type in “home”, and it would list your POI named “home” as one of the suggestions.
Same for the end point.
So far, a great App and website, I have just made the transition from calimoto and so far will never go back.
It is possible. As you can have tons of favorites (I think this is what you call POI), the search over the favorites requires a little preparation - add the relevant folders to your overlays. This way, you can both search in the textfield or click it on the map.
Example in Web, works the same in App. In the app, the button for the overlay manager is in the lower right corner, you will find it. Now I have it an othe map to click the POI/favorite and to add it to my route.
I still feel this is unnecessarily complicated and could be done easier. Why is it necessary to add favourites to an overlay? Other apps don’t need that. Maybe you could just add a menue selection with items like “favourites”, “fuel stations”, “hotels” and the like to the start or endpoint input. That’s the way for instance TomTom handles this.
