14-05-2019 - Da die Internet Wetterberichte einstimmig schlechtes Wetter ab Morgen bis einschliesslich Sonntag angesagt haben, entschliesse ich mich noch für eine kleinere schnelle Runde durch die Corbieres .
Dieses Mal im Kurviger Modus „Schnell und kurvig“. Wendepunkt soll Quillan sein, wo ich auch zu Mittag essen will.
So gehts diesmal über die Schnellstrasse bis zur Ausfahrt Millas und dann in Sichtweite der Eisenbahntrasse entlang durch Pfirsich- und Nektarinenplatagen bis nach Ile-sur-Tet . Nach der Ortsdurchfaht und der Ueberquerung des Tet , geht es endlich in die Berge.
14/05/2019 - Since the internet weather reports have unanimously announced bad weather from morning until sunday inclusive, I decide for a small fast lap through the Corbieres .
This time in curvy mode “Fast and curvy”. The turning point is Quillan , where I also want to have lunch.
So this time I take the expressway to the exit Millas and then I drive along the railway line through peach and nectarine plateaus to Ile-sur-Tet . After passing through the village and crossing the Tet , I finally reach the mountains.
Nach Trevillach kommt auch schon der erste kleine Pass, der Col des Auzines 603m WP01 .
Nun steigt die Strasse stetig an, es geht durch Sournia in den Wald von Rabouillet . Kein Haus, kein Strommast, Nichts ausser einer traurigen Telefonleitung auf Holzpfählen, dafür aber Natur und Wald „en mass“!
After Trevillach comes the first small pass, the Col des Auzines 603m WP01 .
Now the road climbs steadily through Sournia into the forest of Rabouillet . No house, no electricity pole, nothing but a sad telephone line on wooden poles, but nature and forest „en mass“!
Und weiter geht es bergauf, bis ich die Grenze des Departements erreiche in in das Aude einfahre. Noch ein paar Kilometer und ich habe den höchsten Punkt meiner heutigen Fahrt erreicht, den Col d’Aussières 1020m WP02 , der im Winter wegen Schnee gesperrt wird!!
Bis hierher sinds rund 65km, die ich in einer guten Stunde gefahren bin, da macht sich der Autobahnabschnitt bemerkbar, wo ich die linke Spur exclusiv beansprucht hatte.
And I continue uphill until I reach the border of the department and enter the Aude . A few more kilometres and I have reached the highest point of my trip today, the Col d’Aussières 1020m WP02 , which is closed in winter because of snow!
Up to here are about 65km, which I drove in a good hour, there the motorway section becomes noticeable, where I had used the left lane exclusively.
Ab jetzt geht es hinunter in das Flusstal der Boulzane. Bei der Abfahrt treffe ich dann auf die D117 bei Lapradelle Puilaurens . Es ist schon Mittag vorbei und Hunger macht sich bemerkbar. Nach der Dorfbar sehe ich noch ein Resto Schild und mache Halt.
20 nach 12 und ich bin der einzige Gast – egal, ich wage es.
Die Inhaberin kümmert sich persönlich und ich wähle das Tagesmenü für 20€.
From now on it goes down into the river valley of the Boulzane . On the descent I meet the D117 at Lapradelle Puilaurens .
It is already past noon and hunger becomes noticeable. After the village bar I see a Resto sign and stop.
20 after 12 and I am the only guest - no matter, I dare.
The owner takes care personally and I choose the daily menu for 20€.
Sie sieht gut genährt aus - ein Gutes Zeichen? She looks well nourished - a good sign?
Da ich nicht in Spanien bin, kann ich gut und gerne nochmal ca 10€ extra für Getränke und Kaffee rechnen.
Ich entscheide mich also für die ‘Pate de Campagne’ als Starter und wähle dann das Putenfilet mit Honig-/Kräutersosse als Hauptgang. Als Nachtisch gibt es dann noch warmen Schokoladenkuchen mit Vanillesosse und Sahne.
Wie erwartet ist die Rechnung knapp 30€ - aber es war es wirklich wert!!
Das Handy ist auch wieder voll, dank der Powerbank aus dem Tankrucksack.
Since I am not in Spain, I can calculate well and gladly add approx. 10€ extra for beverages and coffee.
So I decide for the ‘Pate de Campagne’ as starter and choose the turkey filet with honey/herb sauce as main course. For dessert there is a warm chocolate cake with vanilla sauce and cream.
As expected the bill is about 30€ - but it was really worth it!
The mobile phone is also full again, thanks to the power bank from the tank bag.
Ich war aber doch nicht der einzige Gast, 15 Minuten nach mit kamen noch ein Dutzend anderer Gäste.
Es ist kurz vor 14:00 und statt einer kleinen Siesta im Schatten, nehme ich lieber die gut ausgebaute „Departementale“, die jetzt total leer ist.
Nach ein paar Kilometern geht es noch über den Col du Campérié 514m WP0 4 und fahre dann der Aude entlang bis nach Quillan hinein.
Kurz hinter Quillan gehts dann auf die D109 und in Richtung auf den nächsten kleinen Pass, den Col de Saint-Louis 706 m WP0 6 , der auch die Grenze zwischen den Departements Aude und den PO ist.
But I wasn’t the only guest, 15 minutes later there were a dozen other guests.
It is shortly before 14:00 and instead of a small siesta in the shade, I prefer the well developed “Departementale”, which is now totally empty.
After a few kilometres I cross the Col du Campérié 514m WP04 and drive along the Aude to Quillan .
Shortly after Quillan I take the D109 and head towards the next small pass, the Col de Saint-Louis 706m WP06 , which is also the border between the departments Aude and PO .
Die Strasse schlängelt sich weiter durch die Berge, ich passiere den Col du Linas 667m WP0 7 und treffe dann auf das Quellgebiet des Agly , dessem Flusslauf ich jetzt talabwärts folge. Hinter Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet fängt bei WP09 der Stausee des Agly an, im Sommer eine hervorragende Gelegenheit um ins kühle Nass zu springen, glasklares, sauberes Wasser!
Jetzt gehts noch einmal hoch und wieder runter und hinter Estagel gibts den letzten kleinen Pass, den Col de la Dona 200m WP 10 . Jetzt gehts noch über Baixas und St. Esteve und ich bin wieder zu Hause.
The road winds further through the mountains, I pass the Col du Linas 667m WP07 and then meet the source area of the Agly , whose river course I now follow down the valley. Behind Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet the Agly reservoir starts at WP09 , in summer an excellent opportunity to jump into the cool water, crystal clear, clean water!
Now it goes up and down again and behind Estagel there is the last small pass, the Col de la Dona 200m WP10 . Now it’s over Baixas and St. Esteve and I’m home again.
