First off all I like the update; Some observations after the first week of use:

  • Loading of the routes and maps seems to me slower, sometimes I need to login, login on the phone, load the routes and then the routes show on the desktop.
  • A nice feature would be to see to see the incline of some of the mountain passes. This so people can judge if it is to steep to ride or not (category is also an option)
  • When starting-up it every time asks for my laguage, even when this is given in the settings.
  • A share possibility where (new) users can only ride the route in the navigation which I shared with them (i promote your the Kurviger product).

This where my comments so far.

Yes, this would be interesting and we actually have this on our todo list for quite some time

It is, you just need an external keyboard (and this actually works) - but yeah I think for touch devices it happens way too easily that waypoints are placed on accident, so the setting is disabled for tablets and smartphones.

We are not planning on doing this

Thanks for the hint :+1 - we’ll look into this.

On the website we currently don’t have an automatic language switch yet. Right now, you could bookmark the version of Kurviger that you like, for English this would be:

You can share routes:

And users can load this route and navigate it, that said, they will need a subscription if they want the full navigation experience and not the follow mode (which is available for free).

Thanks for the update. I find it easier in the update to save changes in the routing. Only 1 click, What is not working (for me) is adding overlays in Safari the overlay sign keeps rotating. Are there other experiences with this item?

This is currently not a known issue. You could try to log out and back in, if this doesn’t work, you could try to clear your routeplanning data in the settings of Kurviger.

Thx, today I loaded the routing and the overlays were visible, probably temporary problem. Will get back if issue is recurring. JRS

When I undo a step on a saved route, the button is not active. I must do an additional change to activate the save-button.

Hi .Some feedback after using the new UI for major routeplanning on a desktop.(13 inch mac) Many things are good including being able to “1 click extend route.”
1/priority!!! I cannot find a way to hide the large sidebar totally(like the old version) whilst route planning .It takes OVER 1/3 of the screen! Please make a "button "that allows this as a priority. It is MUCH more difficult to plan the route without it.
2/When renaming a route in the old version there was no need to click on a “pencil button” in order to ask for “permission”.I cannot think of any reason how this helps.
3/A “copy route” button would be really helpful
Thanks for listening-Nick

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, we have this issue on our todo list

Could you share a screenshot of this? It is correct that you cannot fully hide the sidebar anymore, but it should usually take less than 20%.

What exactly do you mean with copy route? In the cloud, like a duplicate route option?

The current sidebar takes for sure more than 20% of the screen - approx. 555px on a display width of 1920px on my PC - see attached.

How can I do this?

I don’t see a “fold away to the left” arrow like it was available in the previous UI (shown in beautiful orange on my screenshot)

We’re not talking about the horizontal fold BTW.

hi ,please implement the "hide sidebar button"The sidebar is intrusive unless you are planning very short journeys or using a very big computer screen.I cant think of any reason not to have it.
All other interfaces OSM Garageband BRrouter, you can hide the sidebar.please help!it saves a lot of movement of the visible area and fiddling around.thanks
Also I want to ask -after i renew the subscription will the advertisment for kurviger dissapear when i am logged in thanks

no need for the copy route button as you can now save the route but other requests all valid

Yes, this is currently not supported, only to move it up.

Yes, if you have an active subscription, you won’t see this advertisement anymore.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot, yeah the 13" Mac screen is unfortunately quite small, we will see if we can improve the situation .

To (re)implement the option to fold it sideways shouldn’t be a big deal!?

I don’t understand why it was removed and changed to a horizontal folding at all in the first place
 :grey_question:

On most screens you have enough space and a small info about the route and the most important buttons always at hand is a big benefit. That way you can stay in fullscreen and still handle the most important planning actions.

My approach to that is different.

If I use a “fold away” function, I’m not interested in anything of the section I’m “folding away” but in having the maximum available space (for the map in this case)

In the old UI this was perfectly fine: if enough space/when working on the route’s points > keep sidebar visible; if not enough space or if visible map space was more important > fold sidebar away completely.

In the new UI this is now somewhat clumsy: if enough space/when working on the route’s points > keep sidebar visible [so far, so good]; if not enough space or if visible map space is more important > fold sidebar “halfway” horizontal up where it STILL uses screen space [which I do NOT want in that case]!??

Maybe allowing for both “fold away” types could be possible in the future!?
