Maybe I’m blind :wink: but cannot find the explanation of differences between location services in the app: Google vs. Android.

What is the reason why we can choose from two of them?

  • “Android” provider uses the Android framework (GPS location)
  • “Google” provider uses the Google Play services (Fused location)

You can try both and see which works better on your device.

According to Google documentation:

“The Google Play services APIs are optimized for performance and battery usage.”
