Routing not working

Hello,

after updating to version 1.14.21, the app doesn´t work anymore.
There is no routing calculation possible, not a direct or round-course calculation.
The previous version has worked perfect.
What can I do?
Don´t want to update to Kurviger-2. Version 1 is sufficient for me and it´s stated that it works for all “old” users (but without new features).

Route calculation is the same in Kurviger apps and requires an internet connection.
The routing seems to work fine.


What device and Android do you have? (copy the Settings | Version | Info)
Does the device have a working internet connection?

What routing service is selected? (Kurviger or BRouter)
What route options are selected?

Have you tried a small route on an existing road?
Exactly which start / end waypoints do not work?

→ For sure, Internet is active.
The routing seems to work fine.

→ Yes

What routing service is selected? (Kurviger or BRouter)
→ Tried both
→ No calculation

What route options are selected?
→ Different checked (extra, fastest, all,…)
→ No calculation

Have you tried a simple small route?
→ Yes

Exactly which start / end waypoints do not work?
→ It´s possible to set start as also end point, but then no calculation.
→ Also in round-courses, all parameters can be set, but then no calculation.

Do the online maps work in the app?

You can uninstall the app and reinstall it.
(backup first your bookmarks, etc.)

→ Now a new failure… App tell me a internet connection is required.
For sure, the internet is still active, so the failure message “need internet connection” is wrong.

Do you see a chance to send me the previous apk? Then I can check that version, too.
Perhaps it´s easier to find the failure.

Kurviger routing requires internet and it works fine in all our tests.


If the app does not see the internet,
then something may be wrong with the internet on the device.

Is it Wi-Fi or 4G?
Maybe the internet provider blocks something?
Can you try with a different device or network?

Does the routing in Kurviger 2 works?
(they use the exact same code)

That reminds me of an old thread.

  • What is your Internet Service Provider?
  • Have you tried with active WLAN connection too?

→ Tried old version on my tablet → is working (older version)

(they use the exact same code)
→ In version 2, without an Abo, it´s impossible to get a track. If you start calculating you receive the message with the Abo conditions, nothing else and no chance to get a test-time.

The point is that on everyone else’s devices the route calculation works fine.

App subscription is not related with the routing.
It offers extra features mentioned in its window.
There is a free trial in Google Play subscription.

Route calculation is free in Kurviger 2 and works as always.

Do you use Firewall or Proxy or VPN?

Now I started the device some times new and the app is working fine.
It seams that the firewall blocked the app and before activating of it, it looks that the APP can now “see” the internet and so the calculation is working well, also in version 2.
Thank you very much, the key info was “see the internet”.
