Fragen zu den Offlinekarten

Gude.

  2. Was bedeutet die Alpen Karte?

Vieelen Dank!

Offline maps are created with OpenStreetMap data extracts from Geofabrik.

So you can go to Geofabrik website and see all region bounds on the map:

https://download.geofabrik.de/europe/alps.html
https://download.geofabrik.de/europe/dach.html

OpenAndroMaps displays the bounds of its maps in the coverage section:
https://www.openandromaps.org/en/downloads

If available, it is best to open 1 map for performance,
instead of opening multiple map files.

Ahhh okay now i understand.
Iam planning a route from Munic to Opatija (Croatia). So is better to use the ALPS map than the DACH+Slovenia+Croatia map because it is smaller? And if i planning tours in croatia, i should use the only croatia map?

Do the APP load the map completly at the App-Start, or do it load tiles? Because my Navi has not enough memory for all maps i need, but i can save it on the SD Card, which is slower than internal memory.

The app renders the map region on the screen.

But processing 1 or a few files instead of multiple files is always better. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for your answers.
The app renders the map region on the screen means, it do load the active display permanent from the SD card if i have my map there? Or do it load the complete DACH Map into the Ram only?
Then it is better for performance while navigation to use it from the internal memory?

Sorry for these much questions.

Please see above, it answers your questions.

Usually the internal memory is faster and it is better to use the fastest storage.
