Anregung: Zoom auf Basis des aktuellen live GPS Standortes

Hallo,

Τhis is exactly what happens.

The zoom in / out of external input devices is performed on map center.

In navigation the GPS location is followed and is always on map center.
(absolute map center or bottom map center)

So it works correctly, as intented.

But If you had scrolled the map, then obviously the zoom happens elsewhere.
You can center again on GPS location (manually or auto center in some sec).

In einer Simulationsfahrt ist es nicht so.

It zooms in / out correctly on GPS location in navigation (real-time or simulation).

Es funktioniert nicht. Siehe Video.

It works if you do not scroll the map before the zoom.
Then you have to wait some sec to auto center again.

If your external input device scrolls + zooms the map simultaneously,
then it is an error in the external input device (contact them).

The app provides specific Android keys for each function which should not be mixed.
Testing it locally it works perfectly as intended.

You can contact the external input device.

I only implemented some Android keys in the app.
(according to some public docs that few provide)

Each external input device works differently,
if they mix the Android keys, they must fix it.

The zoom happens on map center.

In navigation the map center is always on GPS location.

The zoom happens on map center.

und

In navigation the map center is always on GPS location.

I already explained above the process.

Again, I cannot reproduce what you report.
Testing it locally, it works correctly as intended.

So it could be a problem with your device.
Either they mix move + zoom keys or you move the map before zoom.

By the way in your video the app buttons auto hide and appear again.
This can only happen when you touch the screen and so break map auto center.
So the next zoom with happen at not GPS location until map auto centers again.

Probably you handle the external device + the phone screen simultaneously,
interrupting the device workflow.

  • Optionen | Karte | Lautstärketasten-Zoom eingeschaltet
  • Kartenorientierung Navigation = Bewegungsrichtung 3D

@devemux86

Application is not affiliated with any third-party external input devices.
The main focus is on most users who use Android in the normal way.
Anything extra requires investment and resources from its developer.

Do you really expect the only developer of the app to invest resources
and search for every possible third-party device?

Anyone wanting to work with Kurviger app can contact us
and must have a public documentation of their keys.

I only added some common Android keys.
It happens that some devices support them.
Good for them, they can work with the app.

https://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/KeyEvent

It depends on external input device:

  • Keyboard: KEYCODE_MINUS + KEYCODE_PLUS / KEYCODE_EQUALS
  • Parrot: KEYCODE_DPAD_LEFT + KEYCODE_DPAD_RIGHT
  • WunderLINQ: KEYCODE_DPAD_DOWN + KEYCODE_DPAD_UP
